There is no doubt that the number of Colombians living in the United States has grown remarkably in the last twenty years. According to the latest statistics from the Colombian Embassy in Washington DC, there are approximately more than two million Colombian citizens living in the United States, of which more than 50,340 are resident in California, and 2,400 are in San Diego. With these figures, it is obvious that the strength of Colombians is more than present in this region of the country.
With this remarkable growth, a group of Colombians in San Diego County met in the fall of 2003 with the purpose of creating a non-profit entity that would promote the benefits of Colombian culture, art, goods and services in Southern California. For this purpose, the Colombian Chamber of Commerce in San Diego (CCCSD) was created.
Today, this organization is distinguished by the quality of services and products it offers, but much more important, by the mutual cooperation of all its members. This spirit of cooperation is what makes CCCSD offer a unique environment for all those who want to spend a fraction of their time demonstrating Colombia and at the same time enjoy the benefits of Colombian culture, art, goods and services.
During its first year, CCCSD has grown quite spirited and today, with the support of the Colombian Consulate General in Los Angeles, CCCSD offers a number of cultural as well as business events, including the mobile consulate in San Diego. This has attracted Colombians from all over California. Please visit all the links to learn more about the benefits of joining CCCSD and to find out more details about our next event.
